Dream Again

Towards the end of last year, Pastor Anthony Murray of Oasis Family Life Church announced to the congregation that 2015 would be the “Year of the Dreamer”.

As 2015 made its way to becoming the present, Pastor Murray encouraged those connected to him to dream again, and to create 5 year plans. He also advised them that they were born to inspire.

Pastor Murray doesn’t speak these words to those that hear him just to boost their egos and make them feel good. He applies these principals and revelations to his own life as well. In 2015, we are seeing the manifestation of him taking the words he speaks to others and applying them to his life as well.

This past weekend Pastor Anthony, his wife Christina, their staff and a team of volunteers hosted the One Day Dream Stage Conference.

This conference was created with Pastors and their spouses in mind.

The mission was to “Assist, Motivate, Educate and Equip them to Win in Ministry”. The speakers shared information with attendees on tropics from starting with nothing to winning with social media.

Pastor Murray and the other speakers challenged those in the audience to think differently about obstacles in their ministries.

They were given different perspectives that enabled them to go back to their churches with a fresh outlook.

The screen saver on my phone shows Proverbs 18:16. That scripture says “A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.”

There was a moment while capturing this event that it hit me where I was. I was in a room full of pastors.

I realized that my pastor, Anthony Murray, had trusted me with a very important task. He trusted me to capture an event where he was able to serve his peers. He and his team planned and marketed this event in less than 30 days. Over 100 people registered for this one day conference. When I took a step back, I saw that God blessed Pastor Anthony to have a successful event and I was able to witness and be apart.

I learned of Pastor Anthony the summer of 1999 when I came to spend the summer with my grandmother before going to college. At the time he was a youth pastor. While serving in his youth ministry, I had my first experience with a camera. I was on his media team.

Most summers, I came back to Georgia and would go back to helping with the youth ministry. Pastor Anthony let the youth serve in any area they desired to. I would have never thought that opportunity would be the seed that would turn into a business for me years later.

Pastor Anthony Murray was truly born to inspire. He has been inspiring me for years. He sees and brings out abilities in me that I would have never imagined.

This weekend he insipried a group of his peers in ministry. He let them know that they can be successful in building the Kingdom of God.

Pastor Anthony insipires me to dream again.
